Ingredients
Coating
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon fine salt, or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Fish & Frying
- 1 pound fish fillets, such as haddock, tilapia, or cod
- Vegetable oil, for frying

- Lemon wedges
- tartar sauce
- or rémoulade
Instructions

Combine the flour, salt, pepper, and paprika in a shallow dish.

Dredge the fish fillets in the seasoned flour, ensuring they are fully coated.

Heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Carefully place the coated fish fillets in the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the skillet.

Fry the fish for 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
