Banana Split Chocolate Fudge Sauce
Ingredients
- 100g good-quality dark chocolate
- 1 80g Mars bar, finely chopped
- 200ml thickened cream
- 4 small bananas
- 8 small scoops ice-cream
- 4 ice-cream wafers, halved diagonally

Use your hands to break the chocolate into pieces.

Place the chocolate, Mars bar and cream in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, for 5-7 minutes or until the chocolate melts and the mixture is smooth. (See microwave tip.) Remove from the heat and transfer to a heatproof bowl or jug. Set aside for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally to cool slightly (the sauce will thicken on standing).

Halve the bananas crossways and place in serving dishes. Top with the ice-cream and ice-cream wafers, and pour over a little of the chocolate sauce. Serve immediately.
