Pork and Vegetable Dumplings
Ingredients
- 250g pork mince
- 6 button mushrooms, finely chopped
- 2 green onions, trimmed, finely chopped
- 125g can corn kernels, drained, rinsed
- 1 small carrot, grated
- 2cm piece fresh ginger, finely grated
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1/4 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp salt-reduced soy sauce
- 270g packet wonton wrappers

Combine mince, mushroom, onion, corn, carrot, ginger and garlic in a bowl. Season with pepper. Add sesame oil and half the soy sauce. Mix well to combine.

Place 1 wonton wrapper on a board. Spoon 11⁄2 teaspoons mince mixture onto centre of wrapper. Brush edge with cold water. Fold up sides to form a square pouch. Pinch edges together to enclose filling. Place on a tray lined with baking paper. Repeat with remaining wrappers and mince.

Place a large steamer, lined with baking paper, over a saucepan of simmering water. Cook dumplings, in batches, for 10 to 12 minutes or until tender and cooked through. Serve with remaining soy sauce.
