- 1 pound (450 g) asparagus, trimmed (see note)
- 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Set air fryer to 400°F (205°C) and preheat for 5 minutes.

In a bowl, toss asparagus with oil, salt, and pepper. Working in batches if necessary, transfer asparagus to basket in a single layer, and cook until asparagus is browned in a few spots and tender-crisp, 5 to 10 minutes (see notes).
