Spicy Satay Wontons Recipe | Marion's Kitchen
Ingredients
Filling
- 1 x Marion's Kitchen Thai Satay Chicken Meal Kit
- ¼ cup finely chopped spring onion, plus extra to serve
- 1 tbsp finely grated ginger
- ⅛ tsp ground white pepper
- 250g pork mince
- 2 tsp cornflour, plus extra for dusting
Wontons
- 30 wonton wrappers
- 3 tbsp water
Sauce & Garnish
- 2 tbsp Marion's Kitchen Crispy chilli oil, plus extra to serve
Instructions
- 1
In a large bowl, combine the pork mince, marinade from the meal kit, spring onion, ginger, white pepper, and cornflour. Mix until the filling is well combined and slightly sticky.
- 2
Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon a heaped teaspoon of filling into the centre. Moisten the edges with water, fold to seal in your preferred wonton shape, and set aside. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling. Lightly dust finished wontons with cornflour to prevent sticking.
- 3
Bring a large pot of water to the boil. Working in batches, gently drop in the wontons and cook for 3-4 minutes or until they float and are cooked through. Remove with a slotted spoon.
3 min - 4
Meanwhile, place the Thai Satay Sauce from the meal kit into a small saucepan. Add 2-3 tablespoons of water, crispy chilli oil and stir to loosen the sauce. Gently warm over low heat until heated through and smooth.

To serve, arrange the boiled wontons in bowls. Spoon over the warm satay sauce and finish with a drizzle of Marion's Kitchen Crispy Chilli Oil. Sprinkle it with extra spring onion and enjoy immediately.
