- 3/4 cup cider vinegar
- 3/4 cup mandarin orange juice, from 6 to 8 mandarin oranges
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar, or good-quality balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 shallot, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt, or to taste
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups extra-virgin olive oil

In a blender, combine the cider vinegar, mandarin orange juice, red wine vinegar, brown sugar, shallot, and salt.

With the blender running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until the vinaigrette is emulsified.
