Homemade Brownie Mix Recipe

Ingredients
For the Mix
- 1 cup granulated sugar (200 grams)
- ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder (28 grams)
- ½ cup All Purpose Flour (68 grams)
- ¾ teaspoon espresso powder (2 grams, optional)
- ¼ teaspoon Baking Powder (1 gram)
- ⅛ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (170 grams, optional)
To Make the Brownies
- ½ cup vegetable oil (100 grams)
- 2 large eggs (100 grams, room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (4 grams)

In a medium bowl, whisk the sugar, cocoa powder, flour, optional espresso powder, baking powder, and salt together.

Add in the chocolate chips, if using, and stir.

Transfer the mixture to a jar or Ziplock bag and store until ready to use.

To Make the Brownies

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan and line it with a parchment paper sling.

In a large bowl, whisk the oil, eggs, and vanilla extract together.

Add in the brownie mix and whisk until just combined.

Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, until desired doneness is achieved. Bake less for gooey brownies and longer for cakier brownies.
