Slow Cooker Hot Honey Chicken
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 lime, juiced
- 2 tablespoons Sriracha
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs (6 to 8 thighs)
- Cooked white rice, for serving
Instructions
- 1
Make the sauce - Set a slow cooker to high.
- 2
Add the chicken - Place the chicken thighs in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over the chicken, distributing it evenly.
- 3
Cook - Cook on high until the chicken is tender and cooked through (the internal temperature should reach 180°F), about 3 1/2 hours, flipping the chicken halfway through cooking to ensure each side gets coated in the sauce.
- 4
Serve - Serve over rice with toppings of your choice. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days or in the freezer for up to 2 months. Reheat in the microwave in 30-second increments until warmed through.
