Sloppy Joe Sandwiches With Ground Beef and Sausage
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground chuck or lean ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground pork sausage
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1 1/2 cups ketchup
- 1/2 cup store-bought or homemade barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
- 1 1/2 teaspoons grill seasoning for beef
- 1 dash kosher salt
- 1 dash freshly ground black pepper
- 6 soft buns, or slider buns, toasted if desired

Gather the ingredients.

In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the ground beef and pork sausage with the onion, celery, and bell pepper until the ground meats are no longer pink.

Add ketchup, barbecue sauce, water, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and seasonings to the browned meat.

Bring to a simmer and turn to low.

Cover and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
