Shrimp Stir Fry
Ingredients
Stir Fry Sauce
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon ginger, minced, divided
- 3 cloves garlic, minced, divided
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 1/8 cup tamari, soy sauce, or Bragg's Gluten Free Liquid Aminos
- Generous pinch of red pepper flakes optional /to taste
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch- optional this will thicken the sauce- feel free to omit if you prefer
Stir Fry Ingredients
- 10–12 ounces shrimp or use crispy tofu
- 4 cups broccoli, cut into very small florets
- 3/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
Serve
- jasmine rice or rice noodles, or on its own.
Garnish
- green onions, chili flakes, and toasted sesame seeds or slivered almonds

Make the Stir Fry Sauce.

Cook the shrimp about 30-45 seconds on each side, remove from the pan, and set aside.

Add broccoli to the pan with more oil if needed, and stir fry for about 5 minutes.

Add red onion and sauté another 3 minutes.

Add the stir-fry sauce, stirring for 1 minute, until it bubbles.

Add the cooked shrimp and stir for another minute or until the shrimp is cooked through.

Season. Taste, adjust salt and pepper to taste, and add more chili flakes if you like.

Serve. Remove from heat and serve with jasmine rice, noodles, brown rice, or whatever you prefer.
