Pork Dumplings with Dipping Sauce
Ingredients
Dumplings
- 300g stir fry pork, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp caster sugar
- 1/4 tsp sesame oil
- 1/4 cup unsalted peanuts, chopped, roasted
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup chopped water chestnuts
- 4 green shallots, sliced plus extra to serve
- 250g pkt fresh lasagne sheets, cut into 8cm squares
Dipping Sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp caster sugar
- 1 tbsp white vinegar

In a bowl, combine pork, garlic, water chestnuts and shallots with soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil and peanuts. Stir until coated.

Place 1 teaspoon of mixture into the centre of each pasta square, brush with a little water and pinch edges to enclose. Place in a steamer basket lined with baking paper.

Steam dumplings in a bamboo steamer or over a double boiler for 10 mins until cooked through.

Heat a frypan to medium-high heat and add half the oil, pan fry dumplings a few at a time until crispy on one side. Drain on paper towel.

Dipping Sauce: Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Serve dumplings with dipping sauce, topped with extra shallots.
