Cheesy Garlic Bread Pull Apart
Ingredients
- 170g butter, chopped
- 375g (2 1/2 cups) plain flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 250ml (1 cup) buttermilk
- 1 egg, lightly whisked
- 3 garlic cloves, very finely chopped
- 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh continental parsley leaves
- 2 tbsp finely shredded fresh basil leaves
- 55g (1/2 cup) pre-grated 3 cheese blend
- Fresh basil leaves, to serve

Lightly grease the bowl of a 5.5L slow cooker and line with baking paper. Place the butter in a microwave-safe jug. Microwave on High for 1 minute or until melted.

Whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Make a well in the centre. Add the buttermilk, egg and 125ml (1/2 cup) melted butter. Use a flat-bladed knife to mix until mixture comes together.

Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead for 30 seconds or until smooth. Divide into 8 pieces.

Add garlic, parsley and basil to remaining melted butter. Place in a shallow bowl. Gently roll a piece of dough into a smooth ball and roll in the garlic mixture to coat. Transfer to prepared slow cooker. Repeat with remaining dough and garlic mixture.

Cover and cook on High for 2 hours or until the bread is cooked through.

Sprinkle with the cheese, cover and cook for a further 30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbling. Serve sprinkled with extra basil leaves.
