Bacon Wrapped Asparagus


Ingredients
- 8 slices bacon
- 40 spears asparagus about 2 pounds regular spears
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Rinse the asparagus, dab dry and break off any woody ends.

Place bacon in a pan and partially cook (do not crisp or brown) over medium heat for about 5 minutes or air fryer for 3-4 minutes.

Place asparagus on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss to combine.

Wrap 5 asparagus spears with one slice of bacon. Secure with a toothpick and place on the same baking sheet. Repeat with remaining bundles.

Bake 15-20 minutes or until asparagus is tender and bacon is crisp. Broil 1 minute if desired.
