Air-Fryer-Style Glazed Pork Belly Bites Recipe | Marion's Kitchen
Ingredients
Glaze
- 3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- ⅓ cup maple syrup
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
Pork Belly
- 400g pork belly, sliced into roughly 3cm cubes
- 1½ tsp sea salt
Assembly
- 1 cucumber
- 1 red chilli, thinly sliced
Instructions
- 1
Place the garlic, maple syrup, and soy sauce in a microwave-safe bowl. Cover with a plate and microwave on high (1000W) for 4 minutes. Carefully remove from the microwave (the bowl will be hot—use a tea towel or mitts). Set the glaze aside while you prepare the pork belly.
- 2
Place the pork belly pieces and sea salt in a bowl. Mix until well coated. Spread the pork belly pieces out in the air-fryer basket, placed on top of the microwave tray. Select the AIR-FRYER function at 180°C and cook for 20 minutes. Remove the tray, turn the pieces over, and return to the microwave for another 5 minutes on AIR-FRYER mode.
- 3
While the pork belly is cooking, use a mandolin to shave the cucumber into long, thin slices.
- 4
Place the crispy pork pieces into a bowl or onto a baking tray. Pour the glaze over the pork and toss until well combined.
- 5
To serve, thread one end of a cucumber slice onto a skewer. Add a piece of glazed pork belly, wrap the cucumber around the pork, and skewer again. Add a slice of red chilli for a spicy kick. Serve immediately while warm.
