White Clam Sauce With Pasta
Ingredients
Pasta & Base
- 1/2 pound (8 ounces) spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Clams & Seasoning
- 1 (10-ounce) can chopped clams (do not drain)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Dash of freshly ground black pepper
- Freshly grated Parmesan cheese, optional
Instructions

Cook spaghetti according to package directions.

While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute more.

Stir in the clams (with juice), parsley, salt, and pepper.

Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, or until the clams are heated through.

Drain the spaghetti and add it to the skillet with the clam sauce.

Toss to coat.
