Ingredients
- 3 ounces all purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/8 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup vanilla ice cream
- 2 tablespoons chocolate sauce

Gather the ingredients.

Preheat the oven to 350 F and grease an 8-inch cast-iron skillet and line with parchment paper, if desired. Alternatively, prepare a 6-inch or 7-inch round cake pan.

In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; stir or whisk to blend and set aside.

In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar; whisk thoroughly.

Whisk in the egg and vanilla and continue to whisk until smooth and well blended.

Add the flour mixture and stir until blended.

Fold the chocolate chips into the batter.

Spread the dough in the prepared pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 21 to 24 minutes, or until lightly browned and just firm in the center. Remove the pan to a rack and let the Pizookie cool slightly.
