Mozzarella Sticks Recipe

- 12 ounces string cheese sticks (cut in half (1 package))
- 1⅓ cups Italian breadcrumbs
- ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 3 large eggs (+ 3 tablespoons water, beaten)
- 2 cups vegetable oil (for frying)

Set up a breading station with 3 bowls for the flour, egg mixture, and breadcrumb mixture.

For the breadcrumb mixture, combine the Italian breadcrumbs with the grated parmesan, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Dredge each string cheese stick in flour, fully coating it on all sides.

Dip each stick in the egg mixture, letting the excess drip off.

Then, roll each stick in the breadcrumb mixture, fully coating it on all sides.

Dip each stick again in the egg mixture, and then roll again the breadcrumbs.

Transfer the sticks to a lined baking sheet.
